Hoppy people was established in 2016 by two hops lovers, Olivier Brighenti and David Bonjour. Hoppy People follows in the footsteps of the craft beer revolutionaries of the early 80’s from the US and Scandinavia.
After 5 years of homebrewing, we took the the plunge and purchased a 10HL brewing line and 6 fermenters of 24 hectoliters each. The brewery is located in Sierre (Valais) within the industrial park, in a warehouse covered with solar panels; which allows for the whole production process to be powered by clean energy. A nice feature since Sierre is the sunniest town in Switzerland. 5 more fermenters of 45HL each were added in 2018.
Our core range includes 5 hop-forward beers (Pale Ale and various IPA) and a Belgian Strong Ale. One-offs are also produced every few weeks/months in an effort to explore the never-ending possibilities of beer-making and to bring you new sensory experience.
